Many times we forget to give our skin the care it deserves, often because we think we should have more spare time than we do. Reality shows that with only fifteen minutes a day you can make a huge difference that will show in time. Here are some skin care tips you can do every day, and won’t interrupt your activities.

Visit your Dermatologist (once a year)

The skin is the largest organ in our body, and so, we must take care of it as if it was any other organ. Visiting your dermatologist once a year is not time-consuming, yet, it is enough to keep control of your skin health. Cleanse your Skin (2 minutes)

Depending on your skin type, you can get a gel cleanser (better for oily skin) or a cleansing cream (better for dry skin). Of course, there are many other types of cleanser for combination or all skin types, some are even organic. Cleansing your skin has a double purpose: that of keeping your skin free of blackheads, pimples and other imperfections and preparing your skin for moisturizing. Cleansing is especially important after a whole day of wearing make-up and being smog exposure (as in the city).

Use a loofah in the shower (4 minutes)

It is better if you use a neutral soap, as it won’t dry your skin. Gently but firmly rub the loofah against the skin throughout your body in circular motions. This will not only prepare your skin for moisturizing, but also, it will activate your blood flow and help prevent cellulite and varicose veins. Once you’re done, rinse off the body soap with cool water, to close your pores and make you feel refreshed.

Moisturize (face: 1-2 minutes. Body: 4 minutes)

In order for your skin to absorb a moisturizer, it has to be clean first; otherwise, pore-clogging will prevent your skin from making the best use as possible of the cream.

Moisturizing keeps your skin soft, supple and smooth, thus preventing the dryness which sets the ground for lines and wrinkles. Moisturize your body after taking a shower; and your face after cleansing it, especially at night when you remove your make up.

Avoid Sun exposure (0 min)

Avoid the sun from 10 am to 2 pm, the time where it represents a hazard to our skin. It is okay to walk under the sun before or after that time, as long as you wear sun block. In a much reduced amount, sunbeams are necessary for the production of vitamin D.
